  • Ground beef - 300 grams

  • Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Grated mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. Cut the cauliflower into florets and steam them until tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  5. Stir in the tomato paste, diced bell pepper, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. In a food processor, blend the steamed cauliflower until it reaches a smooth, creamy consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. In a baking dish, spread the creamy cauliflower mixture evenly across the bottom.
  8. Top the cauliflower layer with the ground beef mixture, spreading it evenly.
  9. Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese on top of the beef layer.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before garnishing with fresh parsley. Serve warm.
