Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
  • Ground lamb - 100 grams
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
  • Fresh parsley - a handful, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Avocado - 1 small, sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground lamb, red onion, garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the garlic sauce by mixing minced garlic with lemon juice and a pinch of salt.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, assemble your burger by placing each patty on a large romaine lettuce leaf. Top with sliced tomato, cucumber, avocado, and chopped parsley.
  6. Drizzle the garlic sauce over the top, then fold the lettuce leaf around the fillings to create a wrap. Serve immediately.
