- Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
- Ground lamb - 100 grams
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Fresh parsley - a handful, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Avocado - 1 small, sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground lamb, red onion, garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the garlic sauce by mixing minced garlic with lemon juice and a pinch of salt.
- Once the patties are cooked, assemble your burger by placing each patty on a large romaine lettuce leaf. Top with sliced tomato, cucumber, avocado, and chopped parsley.
- Drizzle the garlic sauce over the top, then fold the lettuce leaf around the fillings to create a wrap. Serve immediately.
