Ingredients

  • Tomato sauce - 200 grams
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Plain yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  4. While the meatballs are cooking, heat the tomato sauce in a separate saucepan until warm.
  5. Toast the pita bread in a toaster or on a skillet until lightly crisp.
  6. To serve, place the toasted pita on plates, top with the meatballs, drizzle with warm tomato sauce, and add a dollop of plain yogurt mixed with lemon juice.
