Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- While the meatballs are cooking, heat the tomato sauce in a separate saucepan until warm.
- Toast the pita bread in a toaster or on a skillet until lightly crisp.
- To serve, place the toasted pita on plates, top with the meatballs, drizzle with warm tomato sauce, and add a dollop of plain yogurt mixed with lemon juice.
