Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely grated

- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for grilling)
- Yogurt - 100 grams (for serving)
- Lemon - 1, cut into wedges (for serving)
- Tomato - 1, sliced (for serving)
- Cucumber - 1, sliced (for serving)
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Divide the meat mixture into 6 equal portions and shape them into oval meatballs (köfte).
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
- Grill the köfte for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 70°C).
- While the köfte are grilling, prepare the yogurt sauce by simply serving yogurt in a small bowl.
- Once the köfte are cooked, serve them hot with yogurt, lemon wedges, sliced tomatoes, and cucumbers on the side.
