Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 300 grams
  • Ground beef - 200 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
  • Lemon - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, black pepper, salt, and olive oil.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well incorporated. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into long, flat kebabs, approximately 2 cm thick, and skewer them onto metal or soaked wooden skewers.
  5. Grill the kebabs for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice char.
  6. While the kebabs are grilling, warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1 minute on each side.
  7. Serve the kebabs hot with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and lemon wedges on the side.
