- Ground lamb - 300 grams
- Ground beef - 200 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Lemon - 1, cut into wedges
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, black pepper, salt, and olive oil.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well incorporated. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Shape the meat mixture into long, flat kebabs, approximately 2 cm thick, and skewer them onto metal or soaked wooden skewers.
- Grill the kebabs for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice char.
- While the kebabs are grilling, warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1 minute on each side.
- Serve the kebabs hot with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and lemon wedges on the side.
