Ingredients

  • White fish fillet (e.g., cod or haddock) - 300 grams
  • Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh dill, chopped - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1 small
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons for frying

Steps

  1. In a food processor, combine the white fish fillet, breadcrumbs, parsley, dill, garlic, onion, egg, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still has some texture.
  2. Form the mixture into small patties, about 5 cm in diameter.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the fish patties, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  4. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove the patties from the skillet and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve warm with a lemon wedge and a side salad or yogurt sauce.
