  • Plain yogurt - 200 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Sumac - 1 teaspoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs (about the size of a golf ball).
  3. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  4. While the köfte cooks, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing the plain yogurt with lemon juice and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
