- Ground lamb - 300 grams
- Ground beef - 200 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
- Bell peppers (red or yellow) - 2 large
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Cut the bell peppers in half and remove the seeds. Place them on a baking tray, cut side up, and drizzle with a little olive oil. Roast in the oven for 25 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
- In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, ground beef, minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Form the meat mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
- Once the peppers are done roasting, remove them from the oven and drizzle with lemon juice.
- Serve the köfte patties alongside the roasted peppers, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
