Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 250 grams
  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Pomegranate molasses - 2 tablespoons

  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for grilling)
  • Gluten-free burger buns - 2
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Pomegranate seeds - 50 grams (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, ground beef, pomegranate molasses, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, salt, black pepper, and cumin. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium heat. Grill the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
  4. While the patties are grilling, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing Greek yogurt with lemon juice in a small bowl. Season with a pinch of salt.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. Toast the gluten-free burger buns lightly on the grill.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a köfte patty on each bun, topping with a generous spoonful of the yogurt sauce, and garnishing with pomegranate seeds.
