- Ground lamb or beef - 300 grams
- Onion, grated - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Skewers - 4 (if using wooden, soak in water for 30 minutes)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly by hand until well incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into an elongated patty around the skewer.
- Brush the formed köfte with olive oil to prevent sticking and enhance flavor.
- Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the köfte are browned and cooked through.
- Once done, remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
