- Gluten-free all-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Warm water - 120 ml
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Spinach - 100 grams, fresh or frozen, chopped
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional, for garnish)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour and salt. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough briefly on a floured surface until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crumbled feta cheese, chopped spinach, and black pepper until well combined.
- Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle (about 25 cm in diameter) on a lightly floured surface.
- Place half of the filling mixture on one half of each dough circle, leaving a small border. Fold the other half over the filling and press the edges to seal.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each gözleme for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top while cooking for added flavor. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
