Ingredients
- Gluten-free all-purpose flour - 150 grams
- Warm water - 75 ml
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Spinach - 100 grams, chopped
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for topping)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour and salt. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crumbled feta cheese, chopped spinach, beaten egg, and black pepper until well combined.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll out each portion into a thin sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- Place a portion of the filling on one side of the dough, then fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges to seal.
- Repeat with the second portion of dough and filling.
- Brush the tops of the böreks with olive oil and sprinkle sesame seeds over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
