Ingredients
- Gluten-free flour - 200 grams
- Water - 120 ml
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh spinach - 150 grams (washed and chopped)
- Feta cheese - 100 grams (crumbled)
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional, for topping)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour and salt. Gradually add water and olive oil, mixing until a smooth dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until pliable.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix the chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, and black pepper. Set aside.
- Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle on a lightly floured surface.
- Place half of the spinach and cheese mixture on one half of each circle, then fold the other half over to create a semicircle. Press the edges to seal.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each gözleme for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top while cooking for added flavor and crunch.
- Serve warm with a side of yogurt or a simple salad.
