Ingredients

  • Gluten-free flour - 200 grams
  • Water - 120 ml
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh spinach - 150 grams (washed and chopped)
  • Feta cheese - 100 grams (crumbled)
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional, for topping)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour and salt. Gradually add water and olive oil, mixing until a smooth dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until pliable.
  2. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, and black pepper. Set aside.
  4. Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle on a lightly floured surface.
  5. Place half of the spinach and cheese mixture on one half of each circle, then fold the other half over to create a semicircle. Press the edges to seal.
  6. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each gözleme for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top while cooking for added flavor and crunch.
  8. Serve warm with a side of yogurt or a simple salad.
