Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Water - 100 milliliters
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Gradually add water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix the crumbled feta, shredded mozzarella, chopped parsley, and black pepper until well combined.
- Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll out each portion into a thin circle, about 20 cm in diameter.
- Place half of the cheese mixture on one half of each dough circle, leaving a small border around the edge. Fold the other half over to create a half-moon shape and press the edges to seal.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each gözleme for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the skillet, cut into wedges, and serve warm.
