Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Water - 100 milliliters
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Gradually add water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix the crumbled feta, shredded mozzarella, chopped parsley, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll out each portion into a thin circle, about 20 cm in diameter.
  5. Place half of the cheese mixture on one half of each dough circle, leaving a small border around the edge. Fold the other half over to create a half-moon shape and press the edges to seal.
  6. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each gözleme for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from the skillet, cut into wedges, and serve warm.
