  • Milk - 500 ml
  • Sugar - 100 g
  • Rose water - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped walnuts - 50 g
  • Pistachios, crushed - 25 g
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, then remove from heat and stir in the rose water.
  2. Place one Güllaç sheet in a rectangular serving dish and pour a small amount of the milk mixture over it until it is soaked but not falling apart.
  3. Repeat this process by layering the remaining Güllaç sheets, soaking each with the milk mixture, until all sheets are used.
  4. Sprinkle chopped walnuts and a pinch of cinnamon powder between some layers for added flavor.
  5. After layering, pour the remaining milk mixture over the top layer and let it sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the milk.
  6. Before serving, garnish with crushed pistachios and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
