Ingredients

  • Ground beef (lean) - 250 grams
  • Crushed pistachios - 50 grams
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1 small
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Parsley (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Whole grain burger buns - 2
  • Tomato (sliced) - 1 medium
  • Cucumber (sliced) - 1 small
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, crushed pistachios, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, slice the whole grain buns and toast them lightly on a separate pan if desired.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the cooked patty, sliced tomato, and cucumber. Top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve immediately with your favorite healthy sides.
