Ingredients

  • Whole wheat flour - 200 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 30 ml
  • Baking powder - 5 grams
  • Salt - 5 grams
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Spinach - 50 grams, chopped
  • Black pepper - 2 grams
  • Egg - 1, for egg wash

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, combine whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add Greek yogurt and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, mix the crumbled feta cheese, chopped spinach, and black pepper to create the filling.
  6. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each piece into a flat circle.
  7. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle, then fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges.
  8. Arrange the poğaça on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each poğaça for a golden finish.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
