Ingredients
- Fresh squid - 400 grams
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon wedges - for serving
Steps
- Clean the squid by removing the head and innards, then rinse thoroughly under cold water. Cut the squid bodies into rings and leave the tentacles whole.
- In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the cleaned squid to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the marinated squid on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are just cooked through and have nice grill marks.
- Remove the squid from the grill and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
