Ingredients
- Red bell peppers - 2 large
- Green bell peppers - 1 large
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Wash the red and green bell peppers, then cut them in half and remove the seeds.
- Place the peppers on a baking tray, cut side down, and roast in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the skins are charred.
- Once roasted, remove the peppers from the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes before peeling off the charred skin.
- Finely chop the peeled peppers and place them in a mixing bowl.
- Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl with the chopped peppers.
- Add olive oil, lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the bowl.
- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- Serve the Biber Salatası on a plate, drizzled with a little extra olive oil if desired.
