Ingredients

  • White fish fillet (cod or haddock) - 300 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
  • Fresh dill - 20 grams, chopped
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)

Steps

  1. In a food processor, add the white fish fillet and pulse until it reaches a finely minced consistency.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced fish, chopped parsley, dill, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small patties, about 5 cm in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the fish patties in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  5. Cook each side for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with a side of fresh salad or tzatziki.
