- Phyllo dough - 6 sheets
- Fresh spinach - 200 grams, chopped
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
- Egg - 1 large, beaten
- Olive oil - 30 ml
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix the chopped spinach, crumbled feta, ricotta cheese, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Lay a sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush with more olive oil.
- Spoon a portion of the spinach and cheese mixture along one edge of the phyllo, then roll it up tightly to form a log. Repeat with the remaining phyllo and filling.
- Place the rolled böreks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
