- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Egg - 1, beaten (for egg wash)
- Water - 50 milliliters
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat; add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the ground beef, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper, cooking until the meat is browned and fully cooked. Remove from heat and mix in the chopped parsley. Let cool slightly.
- Lay one sheet of gluten-free phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush lightly with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and repeat for a total of three sheets.
- Spoon a portion of the meat filling along one edge of the dough, leaving space at the sides. Roll the dough tightly, folding in the edges as you go to create a sealed cylinder.
- Repeat the process with the remaining sheets and filling.
- Place the rolled börek on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
