Ingredients
- Yufka (or phyllo dough) - 4 sheets
- Feta cheese - 150 grams, crumbled
- Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled feta, ricotta, chopped parsley, chopped dill, beaten egg, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Lay one sheet of yufka on a clean surface and brush it lightly with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush it with olive oil again.
- Spoon a portion of the cheese mixture along the long edge of the dough, leaving about 2 cm border. Roll the dough tightly over the filling to form a log.
- Place the rolled börek on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat the process with the remaining sheets and filling, placing them on the baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the börek with olive oil and score the tops lightly with a knife for decoration.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
