Ingredients
- Yufka (Turkish pastry sheets) - 4 sheets
- Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
- Ground beef or lamb - 200 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- Green bell pepper - 1, diced
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
- Black olives - 50 grams, sliced
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until translucent.
- Add the ground beef or lamb to the skillet, cooking until browned. Stir in the tomato paste, diced green bell pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
- On a clean surface, lay one sheet of yufka and brush it lightly with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush again. Repeat until you have 2 layers.
- Spread half of the meat mixture evenly over the yufka layers.
- Sprinkle half of the cherry tomatoes, black olives, feta cheese, and mozzarella cheese over the meat mixture.
- Fold the edges of the yufka over the filling to create a sealed pizza shape. Repeat the process for the second pizza.
- Place both börek pizzas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the remaining olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley before slicing and serving.
