- Ground lamb - 250 grams
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Pita bread or burger buns - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 2 pieces
- Yogurt - 100 grams (for serving)
Steps
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley until well combined.
- Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 2 cm thick.
- Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the pita bread or burger buns by lightly toasting them on the grill or in a toaster.
- Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, then adding sliced tomato, cucumber, and lettuce leaves.
- Serve the Adana Burgers with a dollop of yogurt on the side.
