Ingredients

  • Squid - 200 grams, cleaned and sliced
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Cucumber - 100 grams, julienned
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Mint leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine lime juice, fish sauce, chili flakes, minced garlic, and olive oil to create the dressing.
  3. Season the cleaned squid with salt and lightly coat it with half of the dressing.
  4. Grill the squid for about 2-3 minutes on each side until opaque and slightly charred.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced red onion, julienned cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and mint leaves.
  6. Once the squid is cooked, slice it into bite-sized pieces and add it to the salad mixture.
  7. Drizzle the remaining dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with extra herbs if desired.
