  • Cucumber - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cherry tomatoes - 150 grams, halved
  • Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
  • Lime juice - 3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Peanut or sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix lime juice, soy sauce, chili flakes, and peanut oil to create the dressing.
  3. Marinate the tofu cubes in the dressing for at least 10 minutes to absorb flavors.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook the marinated tofu for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown, turning occasionally.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onion.
  6. Add the cooked tofu and chopped cilantro to the bowl with vegetables.
  7. Drizzle the remaining dressing over the salad, toss gently to combine, and season with salt to taste.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with additional cilantro and lime wedges if desired.
