- Beef sirloin - 250 grams

- Palm sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Shallots - 2, thinly sliced
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Fresh mint - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Thai chili - 1, finely chopped (optional)
- Lettuce leaves - for serving
Steps
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, combine lime juice, fish sauce, palm sugar, and minced garlic to create the dressing. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.
- Season the beef sirloin with salt and pepper, then grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare, or until your desired doneness.
- Remove the beef from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced beef, shallots, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, mint, and Thai chili if using.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine all the ingredients.
- Serve the salad on a bed of lettuce leaves and enjoy it fresh.
