Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Fresh coriander (cilantro) - 30 grams, chopped
  • Fresh basil - 15 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Lemongrass - 1 stalk, finely minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1 cm thick slices.
  2. In a bowl, combine chopped coriander, basil, minced garlic, minced lemongrass, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, red chili flakes, vegetable oil, and salt to create the marinade.
  3. Place the tofu slices in the marinade and let them soak for at least 15 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even coverage.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
