Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (e.g., cod or tilapia) - 250 grams
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Fresh cilantro (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Red chili (finely chopped) - 1 small
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Whole grain burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato (sliced) - 1 medium
  • Cucumber (sliced) - 1/2 medium
  • Greek yogurt - 1/4 cup
  • Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the white fish fillets, lime juice, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, red chili, fish sauce, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add a little oil (optional) and cook the marinated fish fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and flaky.
  3. While the fish is cooking, prepare the lime aioli by mixing the Greek yogurt, Sriracha sauce, honey, and a dash of lime juice in a small bowl. Stir until well combined.
  4. Toast the whole grain burger buns lightly in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on each bun, followed by a cooked fish fillet, sliced tomato, and cucumber. Drizzle with the lime aioli and top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your Thai Fish Burgers!
