Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Thai red curry paste - 2 teaspoons
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2, whole grain preferred
  • Cabbage - 100 grams, shredded
  • Carrot - 1 medium, grated
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Sriracha - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, minced garlic, grated ginger, Thai red curry paste, fish sauce, brown sugar, and lime juice. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 2 equal patties and refrigerate for 10 minutes to firm up.
  3. While the patties are chilling, prepare the slaw by mixing shredded cabbage, grated carrot, cilantro, mayonnaise, and Sriracha in a separate bowl. Set aside.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the pork patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Toast the burger buns in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each pork patty on a bun, topping with the slaw, and adding any extra Sriracha if desired. Close with the top bun and serve immediately.
