  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Cucumber - 1 small, julienned
  • Red bell pepper - 1/2, julienned
  • Avocado - 1/2, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 small leaves
  • Chopped cilantro - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Prepare all the vegetables by washing, peeling, and cutting them into thin strips or slices as indicated.
  2. Fill a shallow dish with warm water and soak one rice paper wrapper for about 10-15 seconds until it becomes pliable.
  3. Lay the soaked rice paper wrapper on a clean, flat surface.
  4. Place 5-6 Thai basil leaves in the center of the wrapper, followed by a small handful of each of the julienned carrot, cucumber, red bell pepper, and a few slices of avocado.
  5. Add a small piece of lettuce and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro on top.
  6. Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly to enclose the filling completely. Repeat this process for the remaining wrappers.

  8. Serve the rolls with the dipping sauce on the side.
