- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon (5ml)
- Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Steps
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Slice the Japanese eggplants in half lengthwise and score the flesh in a diamond pattern.
