Ingredients

  • 200g ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 whole grain burger buns
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons low-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, Sriracha sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the surface.
  4. Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
  5. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger toppings by mixing the shredded lettuce, grated carrot, and cucumber slices in a bowl.
