- Fresh tuna steak - 200 grams
- Panko breadcrumbs - 50 grams
- Red curry paste - 1 tablespoon
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fish sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic clove, minced - 1
- Cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Green onion, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato, sliced - 1
Steps
- Finely chop the fresh tuna steak and place it in a mixing bowl.
- Add panko breadcrumbs, red curry paste, lime juice, fish sauce, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, chopped green onion, salt, and black pepper to the minced tuna.
- Mix all the ingredients until well combined, then form the mixture into two equally sized burger patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil if necessary.
- Cook the tuna patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
- While the patties are cooking, mix mayonnaise and sriracha sauce in a small bowl to create a spicy mayo.
- Toast the burger buns lightly in the same skillet or a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading spicy mayo on the bottom bun, adding a lettuce leaf, the cooked tuna patty, a slice of tomato, and topping with the top bun.
