Ingredients

  • Fresh tuna steak - 200 grams
  • Panko breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Red curry paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fish sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic clove, minced - 1
  • Cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Green onion, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato, sliced - 1

Steps

  1. Finely chop the fresh tuna steak and place it in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add panko breadcrumbs, red curry paste, lime juice, fish sauce, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, chopped green onion, salt, and black pepper to the minced tuna.
  3. Mix all the ingredients until well combined, then form the mixture into two equally sized burger patties.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil if necessary.
  5. Cook the tuna patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  6. While the patties are cooking, mix mayonnaise and sriracha sauce in a small bowl to create a spicy mayo.
  7. Toast the burger buns lightly in the same skillet or a toaster.
  8. Assemble the burgers by spreading spicy mayo on the bottom bun, adding a lettuce leaf, the cooked tuna patty, a slice of tomato, and topping with the top bun.
