Ingredients

  • King oyster mushrooms - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili paste (Nam Prik Pao) - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Clean the mushrooms and slice them into 1 cm thick pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, lime juice, chili paste, minced garlic, brown sugar, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the marinade and toss to coat well. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Once marinated, place the mushrooms on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are tender and have nice grill marks.
  6. Remove from the grill and garnish with chopped fresh cilantro before serving.
