Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod) - 300 grams
  • Coconut flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Thai bird's eye chilies - 2, finely sliced
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Green onions - 2, sliced

Steps

  1. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Coat each fillet in coconut flour, shaking off any excess.
  3. In a frying pan, heat coconut oil over medium-high heat until hot.
  4. Add the coated fish fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic and sliced chilies, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Stir in lime juice and fish sauce, allowing the sauce to simmer for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Return the cooked fish to the pan, spooning the sauce over the fillets to coat them well.
