- White fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod) - 300 grams
- Coconut flour - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coconut oil - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Thai bird's eye chilies - 2, finely sliced
- Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Green onions - 2, sliced
Steps
- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Coat each fillet in coconut flour, shaking off any excess.
- In a frying pan, heat coconut oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the coated fish fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic and sliced chilies, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in lime juice and fish sauce, allowing the sauce to simmer for another 1-2 minutes.
- Return the cooked fish to the pan, spooning the sauce over the fillets to coat them well.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and sliced green onions before serving.
