Ingredients
- Barramundi fillet - 300 grams
- Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Red chili - 1, finely chopped
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4, for serving
- Sliced cucumber - 100 grams, for garnish
Steps
- In a medium bowl, combine lime juice, fish sauce, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, red chili, black pepper, and brown sugar to create a marinade.
- Place the barramundi fillet in the marinade, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush it lightly with vegetable oil.
- Remove the barramundi from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off, and place it on the hot grill.
- Grill the fish for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
- Serve the grilled barramundi on a plate with lettuce leaves and garnish with sliced cucumber.
