Ingredients

  • Barramundi fillet - 300 grams
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Red chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4, for serving
  • Sliced cucumber - 100 grams, for garnish

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, combine lime juice, fish sauce, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, red chili, black pepper, and brown sugar to create a marinade.
  2. Place the barramundi fillet in the marinade, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush it lightly with vegetable oil.
  4. Remove the barramundi from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off, and place it on the hot grill.
  5. Grill the fish for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  7. Serve the grilled barramundi on a plate with lettuce leaves and garnish with sliced cucumber.
