  • Soy sauce (halal) - 3 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped - 1/4 cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Crushed red pepper flakes - optional, 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced red bell pepper and julienned carrot to the skillet. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in the diced pineapple and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, lime juice, and honey. Pour this sauce over the vegetable and pineapple mixture.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined. Season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh basil before serving.
