Steps
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced red bell pepper and julienned carrot to the skillet. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the diced pineapple and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, lime juice, and honey. Pour this sauce over the vegetable and pineapple mixture.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined. Season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh basil before serving.
