Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 1 pre-made (about 250g)
  • Tamarind paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Bean sprouts - 100g
  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Peanuts - 1/4 cup, crushed
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix tamarind paste, soy sauce, maple syrup, lime juice, and minced garlic to create the sauce.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and transfer it to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread the tamarind sauce evenly over the pizza base.
  5. Arrange the sliced red bell pepper, julienned carrot, and half of the bean sprouts over the sauce.
  6. Drizzle olive oil over the top and sprinkle with chili flakes to taste.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.
  8. Remove the pizza from the oven and top with the remaining bean sprouts, chopped green onion, and cilantro.
  9. Finish by sprinkling crushed peanuts on top before slicing and serving.
