Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Rice flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Broccoli florets - 100 grams, steamed
  • Carrot - 1 small, julienned
  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Lime wedges - 2

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, egg, rice flour, and black pepper until well mixed.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Toast the burger buns in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun, topping with steamed broccoli, julienned carrot, and chopped cilantro.
  7. Drizzle a little extra soy sauce over the top, if desired, and serve with lime wedges on the side.
