Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 250 grams
  • Fresh Thai basil leaves - 30 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Bird's eye chili - 1, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • Soy sauce - 15 ml
  • Oyster sauce - 10 ml
  • Lime juice - 10 ml
  • Coconut flour - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sliced cucumber - 50 grams (for topping)
  • Sliced tomato - 50 grams (for topping)
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, chopped bird's eye chili, soy sauce, oyster sauce, lime juice, coconut flour, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two burger patties, making sure they are evenly shaped.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the fresh toppings by slicing cucumber and tomato.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on a large lettuce leaf, topping it with fresh Thai basil leaves, cucumber slices, and tomato slices. Wrap the lettuce around the patty and enjoy.
