- Ground beef (80% lean) - 250 grams
- Fresh Thai basil leaves - 30 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Bird's eye chili - 1, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
- Soy sauce - 15 ml
- Oyster sauce - 10 ml
- Lime juice - 10 ml
- Coconut flour - 30 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sliced cucumber - 50 grams (for topping)
- Sliced tomato - 50 grams (for topping)
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, chopped bird's eye chili, soy sauce, oyster sauce, lime juice, coconut flour, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties, making sure they are evenly shaped.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the fresh toppings by slicing cucumber and tomato.
- Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on a large lettuce leaf, topping it with fresh Thai basil leaves, cucumber slices, and tomato slices. Wrap the lettuce around the patty and enjoy.
