  • Bird's eye chili - 2, minced (adjust to taste)
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cooked jasmine rice - 2 cups
  • Fried egg - 2 (optional, for serving)

Steps

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and bird's eye chili to the hot oil, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Increase the heat to high and add the minced pork, cooking until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar, mixing well to combine.
  5. Add the holy basil leaves and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the basil is wilted.
