Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Coriander root - 2 tablespoons, minced
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine minced garlic, coriander root, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, lime juice, chili flakes, and vegetable oil to create the marinade.
  2. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and add it to the marinade. Mix well, ensuring the beef is fully coated. Cover and marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  4. Skewer the marinated beef strips onto metal or soaked bamboo skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Once cooked, remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Serve the grilled beef skewers garnished with fresh coriander leaves and your choice of dipping sauce.
