Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Cilantro stems - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped cilantro stems, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, black pepper, chili flakes, and vegetable oil to create the marinade.
  2. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips against the grain and add to the marinade. Mix well to ensure the beef is fully coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once heated, add the marinated beef strips, ensuring not to overcrowd the grill.
  4. Grill the beef for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  5. Remove from the grill and let the meat rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve the Neua Yang garnished with fresh cilantro leaves and accompanied by a dipping sauce of your choice.
