Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, thinly sliced
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Thai bird's eye chilies - 2, finely chopped
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Dark soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Fish sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Thai basil leaves - 1 cup, packed
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cooked jasmine rice - 2 cups, for serving

Steps

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and chopped chilies to the pan, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced beef sirloin to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef, stirring well to combine, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Add the Thai basil leaves to the pan and stir until wilted, about 1 minute.
  7. Serve the Neua Pad Krapow over cooked jasmine rice.
