- Shallots - 2, thinly sliced
- Cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
- Mint leaves - 30 grams, chopped
- Peanuts - 30 grams, crushed
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1 liter
Steps
- Bring 1 liter of water to a boil in a large pot. Add the rice noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 4-6 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine lime juice, fish sauce, and chili flakes, then set aside for the dressing.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced shallots, sautéing until fragrant and golden, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the sliced beef sirloin to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring until the beef is browned and cooked through.
- Remove the skillet from heat and add the cooked noodles, the lime dressing, chopped cilantro, and mint leaves. Toss everything together until well combined.
- Serve the Nam Tok Noodle topped with crushed peanuts for an added crunch.
