Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Shallots - 2, finely chopped

  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh mint leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1, sliced
  • Peanut sauce - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, shallots, garlic, lime juice, fish sauce, chili flakes, mint, and cilantro. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill until lightly golden.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the beef patty, tomato slice, cucumber slices, and a drizzle of peanut sauce.
  6. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
