  • Palm sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons (chopped)
  • Vegetables for dipping (cucumber, carrot, and green beans) - 200 grams total

Steps

  1. Start by steaming the fish fillet until it's cooked through, about 10-12 minutes. Let it cool slightly, then flake it with a fork.
  2. In a mortar and pestle, pound the garlic, shallots, and red chili peppers into a smooth paste.
  3. Add the flaked fish to the mortar, along with the lime juice, fish sauce, and palm sugar. Mix well until combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped cilantro.
