- Pork shoulder - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cooked jasmine rice - 2 cups
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Carrot - 1 small, diced
- Peas - 1/2 cup
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
Steps
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, minced garlic, black pepper, and chopped cilantro to create the marinade.
- Cut the pork shoulder into thin strips and marinate in the sauce for at least 15 minutes.
- While the pork is marinating, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add diced carrots and peas to the pan, sautéing for about 3 minutes until tender.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the pan, pour in the beaten egg on the other side, and scramble until cooked.
- Add the cooked jasmine rice to the pan, mixing everything together and seasoning with a bit of salt if desired. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated pork strips for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked through and slightly charred.
- Serve the grilled pork over the fried rice, garnished with sliced green onions and lime wedges on the side.
